Doppler Scan

I have to have a Doppler scan done today. I hope everything turns out ok. My cat's are nuts today. Sabrina is running around like a maniac. I can't even get close to her. She runs so fast she bounces of the wall's.
At least the weather is nice today. The last week the weather was terrible. Well it's time for coffee. Enough for now.

Hangover Without The Booze

Yesterday was great. The potluck worked out wonderfully. After supper was over we went to see a naturalist presentation. There was a silent auction and I ended up with a service berry also known as a Saskatoon bush. I also won their 50/50 draw. It was enough to cover the cost of the tickets, and my bush. I must have had a horse shoe hidden somewhere on me without my knowledge.

Early this morning one of my cat's tipped over my end table in my bedroom. I spent about 15 minutes fixing up that mess. It took me about half an hour to an hour to fall asleep again, which is why I feel like I have a hangover this morning. That and the fact that I have a cold doesn't help. All I feel like eating today are liquids. I must be sick. Only something serious would keep me from wanting my food.

I love the way my kitties are are behaving this morning. You would think I have a house full of kittens instead of older cat's. The oldest of them all, Rudolf, takes the cake. He is 8 years old but acts like a kitten whenever you put a toy in front of him. We rescued him last year. He was a feral cat, but took to house training beautifully. He likes it so much inside he has no desire to go back out again.

Rainy Day's

I looked at the weather network for today. What a bummer. 100% chance of rain for today. Oh well. The plants outside need it.
Well, I see in the news paper that Steven Harper is acting more anal then ever. His equalization plan for the provinces is so unfair to Ontario. What can we expect. He is a conservative after all.
Today I have a potluck to go to. I promised to make something Indian. I'm thinking of a type of curry. Something that everyone will like. Something with chicken.
The cat's are being fed again. What little piggies they are. As soon as the bowls are on the floor, they dive in. Oh well. I love them anyways.

Weird Wednesdays

I woke up this morning thinking, I must have slept in, and when I looked at the clock I realized it said only 4:45 a.m. Being too awake to sleep any more, I got out of bed and had a shower. It was too early to make the coffee for the morning, because my sister likes it to, and she wouldn't be getting up till 8:00 a.m. By then it would be stale. So I painted my nails and lay back on the couch and watched the world outside. Naturally I fell asleep.

I woke up to the sound of the phone ringing and the coffee perking. Coffee! At last! I never quite feel right until I've had my first cup of coffee. Strong with lots of milk in it. No sugar please. I've gotten away from that craving. The news paper arrived. I wonder what is in it to aggravate me today.

Silly Cat Questions To Ponder

1. If a cat sneezes and they can't blow their noses, how do they clear their nostrils?

2. Why do cats have five toes in front, but only four in the back?

3. If white, blue eyed cats are deaf, how come they seem to always hear the can opener?

4. Why can lions roar but not purr?

5. Why are Siamese cats so talkative?

Brain Scans

Today I had a CT scan done. What a freaky experience. I had it done to see if anything showed up after I had my stroke. I doubt if anything will. I think it is just to assure my doctor that there is no other chance of possible blockages in the future. It took all of five minutes.

After that was all taken care of, I hit the hospitals Tim Hortons and bought myself an iced cappaccino . Yeeeiiiii! Talk about brain freeze. First iced cappaccino of the spring. Oh well. At least I got my caffeine fix.

The cats were acting like I abandoned them all day when I got home. I was only gone for a little more than an hour. Poor little beggars. So now I'm going to relax and figure out what to make for supper.

Brain Fungus

Today I woke up feeling like my head was going to fall off. And I didn't even drink the night before. That sucks.

My cat's are little piggies. My brother fed them only half an hour ago and they have practically finished their food already. Oink oink. I love them anyway.

I don't know what to make today for supper. Maybe I'll make something with pasta.

Read the paper the other day. I love the fact that the Canadian dollar has increased in value. It's about time.

Coffee is starting to kick in. My head is starting to feel less foggy. The Presidents Choice Great Canadian coffee is the best. Strong but not bitter. I love it with lots of milk in it. No sugar please.

Mom phoned. She phones me every day, bless her. I moved away from my home town about 4 years ago and she misses me. I have to admit, I miss her too. We used to talk a lot every day when I lived there.

The flowers are almost all blooming in my front garden. I can't wait to see the rest bloom. At this time all we have blooming are tulips and some of the different varieties of daisies.

I talked with my sister. We are going to work together and make potato plugs for supper. They are potato dumplings that are boiled then fried with bacon and onions. Yum. I can't wait till supper!

Had supper finaly cooked at 9:00 p.m. It was great.

Head Eruption

Hi to all you out there. I am a survivor of the medical system. I spent the last 10 years being treated for one form of mental illness to another. For the last 6 years I have been treated for bipolar disorder. I am doing fine now, except for the fact that one of the medications I took for pain, which is a issue with me, made me have a slight stroke.
I am worried that with the new government we have here in Ontario, the medical help I am able to receive will decrease.
I do not think that moving to a two tier system will make things better for the patient. All I fear it will do is remove services that we receive now under OHIP.

Cat's can be funny

My sisters cat likes to eat quilt batting. What a little twit.
